
Expert Comment: No UN member, whichever continent they are in, can claim Russia's invasion does not concern them

Russia’s invasion is an existential threat for the people and state of Ukraine and the most serious post-Cold War security challenge for the countries of the European Union and its eastern borderlands. But the war and Russia’s annexation of a sovereign nation’s territory also presents a high risk to foundational principles of international order. No United Nations member state, whichever continent they are in, can claim it does not concern them.
